 Minecraft 1.17 Caves & Cliffs Update

 

The new Minecraft 1.17 Caves & Cliffs update added new things to the caves and mountains. It contains many new different items, mobs, blocks, plants, technical feature and some new caves types and changes to mountains with extreme terrain! Some new mechanics. But It has not been decided yet!

 

New mob

-Can be found in lush caves

- Hangs down from the ceiling

- Can be found in Dripstone caves

- Can drop down from the ceiling and cause damage

- If you put a cauldron the cauldron will fill up with water

Stalagmite

- Can be found in Dripstone caves

- Can kill someone with no armor from more than 2 blocks height

Sculk sencor

- New redstone components

- Can detect sounds and send redstone signals

New type of stone brick

Candles

Amethyst crystal

- Can only spawn on Amethyst Geodes

Copper

- Has slab and stairs variantes 

- Has age and change colour from copper orange to green

lightning rod

- Diverts lightning from other place to this block

- Helps your builds or anything other than this block to not get struck by lightning

-Can be crafted by copper

New Items

The telescope

-works like the optifine zoom but more like a telescope

-can be crafted by Amethyst crystal

Bundle

-A bag that you can put your items in 

Brush

-Slowly digs dirt, gravel etc and get valuable items and artifacts  in aerological site

Clay Fragments

-Has art on them

-you can put these together to form you own customized clay pot

Minecraft 1.16

Minecraft 1.16 Nether update

The new Minecraft 1.16 Nether update changed the nether. It contains many new different items, mobs, blocks and some new biomes in the nether. Some changes to Redstone. Some new mechanics. And some bug fixes.

New mob

Hoglins-

- Spawn in crimson forests. 

- Attack players on sight. 

- Drop raw porkchop and occasionally leather. 

- Have an adult and baby variant. 

Piglins-

- Spawn in crimson forests and nether wastes biomes. 

- Randomly spawns with golden sword or crossbow. 

- Adults are hostile; babies are passive. 

- Attack wither skeletons. 

- Avoid soul fire, soul fire torches, soul fire lanterns, and zombie

pigmen. 

- Prefer to hunt and fight in groups.

Zombified Piglins-

- Spawn in nether wastes biomes.

- Replaced zombie pigmen.

- Attack Hoglins.

- Drops are golds ingots, gold nuggets, rotten flesh.

- Prefer to hunt in groups.

Striders-

- Spawns in lava biome.

- Moves very fast in lava and very slow on land.

- Changes texture when going into the lava to land and land to lava

- Can be ridden by putting a saddle

- Make them move by putting a warped mushroom on a stick like a      pig

- Passive mob

  

Piglin Brut- 

- New mob added in Minecraft 1.16.1

- Has a golden axe

- golden axe doesn't break

- does 8.5 hearts of damage if you don't wear any armor

- spawns in nether Bastians

New items

Netherite scrap-

- Created by smelting ancient debris in a furnace or blast furnace.
 
- Used to create netherite ingots. 

Netherite armor-

- Created by smelting ancient debris in a furnace or blast furnace. 

- Used to create netherite ingots. 

- Dosent burn in lava.

Netherite axe, hoe, pickaxe, shovel, and sword -

- Crafted with a netherite ingot and the respective diamond item. 

- Does not burn in lava. 

- Floats in lava. 

Chain-

- Made from two iron nuggets and one iron ingot.

New Blocks

Ancient debris

- Can be found throughout the Nether at any altitude, though it is 

much more common at lower levels. 

- Can be refined into a netherite scrap by smelting in a furnace or

 blast furnace. 

- Same blast resistance as obsidian. 

Crimson and warped fungi-

- Generate in crimson and warped forests, respectively. 

- Can be placed on dirt, coarse dirt, farmland, podzol, nylium, soul 

soil, and grass blocks. 

- Bone meal can be used on fungi to grow it into the respective 

huge fungi when placed on nylium. 

Crimson and warped planks-

- Does not burn. 

- Crafted from the respective stem. 

- Can be used to craft respective slabs, stairs, fences, fence gates,

pressure plates, buttons, doors and trapdoors.

Crimson and wraped roots-

 - Foliage that generates in both crimson and warped forest biomes, 

   as well as soul sand valleys. 

Shroom lights-

- Emits a light level of 15, similarly to glowstone. 

- Can be found in huge warped and crimson fungi

- Can be mined with any tool, but hoes are the most efficient. 

Soul fire-

- Blue variant of fire. 

- Fire lit on soul soil turns into soul fire regardless of dimension. 

Soul soil-

- Generates in the soul sand valley, alongside conventional soul 

sand. 

- Fire lit on soul soil is soul fire. 

Target block-

- Can be crafted by haybale and redstone.

- Can redirect redstone dust.

- Can give redstone signal when hit by an arrow in a certain place.

Black stone-

- Can be found in Bastions and other biomes

Loadstone-

- Can be crafted with one netherite ingot and eight stone.

- If you use a compass the compass will only point to the loadstone

- It works in all the dimensions.

Basalt-

- Can be found in basalt delta biome

- Can be crafted into polished basalt

Decorative blocks-

- Quartz bricks

- Chiseled nether bricks

- Cracked nether bricks

- Crying obsidian

Respawn anchor -

- Can be crafted with crying obsidian and glowstone

- Can set spawn point in the nether if you die in the nether

- Can be charged with glowstone each charge is each respawn

- If used in overworld or the end it will explode

New mechanics/features

- There is a redstone cross and it can be changed back into redstone    dot.

- The redstone dot will not power the block right next to it, you          have to use the redstone cross.

- If you drink a fire resistance potion you can now  see better inside     lava

- Nether fortress are now common in your nether (less rare)

-You can get invisible item frame with commands

-Using buckets, water buckets, milking a cow and using bowls          with mooshrooms have changed in creative mode.

-Smiting table can upgrade your diamond tools and armor into netherite tools and armors with netherite ingot.

- Wither skeleton will attack Piglins

- The baby Piglins will run if there is a Wither skeleton

- Filled with soul soil and soul sand

- Bone blocks can be found as fossils

Crimson forest-

- Piglins and Hoglins spawns
